Consoling the heart of Jesus

Good Friday meditation drawing  When Saint Therese was a little girl she had a prayer card with a painting of Jesus imprisoned in his cell looking at a single flower. This single flower was the source of his consolation. Saint Therese from those moments wished to be that flower providing comfort to our Lord throughout her life.

My Good Friday Meditation

Jeshua, commonly derived from Jehoshua, means Jeho (Jehovah God) -shua (cry for help) or "call on God's saving help".

Jeshua is Jesus, He is the answer to our cry for help.

Christians today are under a lot of persecution.  The world is moving more and more towards secularism and materialism.  Kingdom values are being discarded and ignored.  In these modern times, Christians are still being discriminated against, oppressed and in some countries, even killed for their faith.

But Jesus crucified, yet risen is still Jeshua and He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.  His death on the cross and its eternal gains will never be surpassed in its power.

"And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world."  -  1 Corinthians 15:19

Today is a day to remember the price Jesus paid to redeem our souls for heaven.  So we might not be doomed to a life without God but so we could come boldly into His presence, made righteous by the blood of Christ, our Passover lamb.

We are whole.  We are joyful.  We are saved.  We are loved.

Since He didn't even spare His own Son but gave Him up for
us all, won't He also give us everything else?  Romans 8:32
